Dr. Rutherford once worked down the hall from Dr. Fauci and helped prepare reports he would present. This vocal “let them learn” helicopter mom and Crestwood doctor started appearing on social media and at school board meetings. With little regard for those who do not share her good genes and privilege, she demanded that her children and their friends were feeling sad about missing in-person instruction, so therefore all students across the state should be forced to return to school in person, even in districts where it was not safe. During a recent Oldham County School Board speech, she said she originally supported Dr. Fauci’s recommendations on masking and vaccines. Somewhere along the way she flipped and began regurgitating familiar libertarian tea party political rhetoric, and even bragging about being an expert witness against Andy Beshear’s COVID mandates. At the height of a pandemic. While our former president’s army is still plotting an insurrection.

You can’t make this stuff up!
Wait! I’m pretty sure Dr. Rutherford was touting alternatives to vaccines, masking and other known methods to cut down on the spread of COVID during one of her board speeches. Someone who advocates for putting students at risk, even if it is just a handful of kids that she doesn’t come into contact with on a regular basis. Out of sight, out of mind, right?
Rand Paul and Dr. Molly Rutherford are two birds of a feather. Dr. Fauci informed Senator Paul that he didn’t know what he was talking about. By association, the same could be said for Dr. Rutherford.
Dr. Rutherford, Kentuckians are smarter than you give us credit for. Please go peddle your snake oil somewhere else. Senator Paul, that goes for you, too.
