Postcards To “The Lege” – Mon. January 21

Save Our Schools KY is partnering with several organizations and individuals across the state to host “postcard parties” on Martin Luther King day (since there is no school and it’s a great day to take part in doing your civic duty). We will provide hosts with post cards and sample language your guests can use to address their House Reps and Senators. We will collect the cards from the hosts and hand-deliver them to these elected officials before Part II of the session begins on February 5.

This is a great activity to do with your school-age children, as well! Introduce them to civic engagement at a young age, and voice students’ concerns to legislators. @SOS_KY will send students an acknowledgement in the mail as a “thank you” for their participation.
